Scott's Story:

At approximately 11:00AM, on Sunday, December 7th, 2008, two policemen arrived at my house and asked to come in. They explained to me that they wanted to discuss something with me pertaining to a delicate nature.

Upon entering the house, they informed me that they had received a warrant to arrest me due to an allegation of rape which had been filed against me. They asked if I had a laptop. I showed them two laptops that I owned. They then informed me they were required to seize the laptops as evidence. They took:

I was then taken to the Weston Favell police station, under arrest for rape. Upon arrival, I was taken to the custody desk, and was asked questions about my health. They then performed a body search before placing me into a cell.

At this time, I do not remember the conversations with the officer. I felt shell shocked and bemused by the whole incident. I asked for a solicitor to be present. I was then lead away and locked in a cell. Sometime later, which felt like hours, I was interviewed by a police doctor. This doctor was very brash and unsympathetic. I was then taken back to the cell.

Once my solicitor arrived, I was taken from the cell into a room to discuss what the police had brought me in for. At the time, the solicitor said the allegations and charges were a little vague, and that all of this would be apparent during the interview.

I was taken back to the cell and await an interview. I was taken to an interview room were I was interviewed by both a male and female officer, with my solicitor present.

The account set out below is as best as I can remember. I was still in a gutted state of the ongoing allegations, and felt very confused.

The male officer said that an allegation had been made that sometime between 1977 and 1985, one of my daughters got in the bed between my wife and me. During that time, I allegedly abused her sexually by touching her private parts.

I denied this and asked why my ex-wife was not being interviewed. The male officer said an allegation had also been made that during sometime between 1977 and 1985, I shouted down for a cup of coffee. When the coffee was bought up, I asked one of the girls to abuse me. This I also denied and asked which person had made the allegation.

The male officer asked me when I had last seen my daughters. I said it was some years ago, but on the last occasion Vicky came to the house and asked if she could live with us for a while. I explained that this was not possible as Jean and I were trying to get our life together. It was from then onwards that she acted funny with me and ignored me when I saw her anywhere else.

The male officer replied that it was obvious I did not love my kids, to not allow them to live with me and see them out on the street. For this, I was accused of being a bad father.

The male officer said that an allegation had been made that during 1977 and 1985, I used to hit or punch either of my daughters in the face repeatedly. No full detail was given as such. This I also denied.

The male officer said an allegation had been made that I tried to contact Vicky and insist that I see her children. This I denied.

During the interview, the female officer asked me some questions which were, and not necessary in this order.

• were was I married
• what made me decide to have children
• did I prefer boys to girls
• did I love my children
• did I have a favorite out of the two
• what was my reaction when they were born
• who decided to have children
• did I ever touch the girls
• did I have a happy family life
• what sort of relationship did I have with my girls
• did I sleep naked in bed
• did I walk round the house naked at anytime

This is absurd? How can I prove my innocence
